The Warren Water District was established by an act of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to provide public drinking water service to residents within the District. The District operates independently from the Town of Warren and is funded entirely through customer water payments, not local tax dollars.
Today, the District serves approximately 1,100 households through a system that includes groundwater wells, a treatment facility, water storage infrastructure, and a distribution network serving homes and businesses throughout the District.
The Warren Water District recently completed a major investment in water treatment infrastructure to improve water quality, address naturally occurring iron and manganese, and maintain compliance with state regulations.
